Quick South of the Border Burger
Ingredients:
2 Morningstar FarmsŪ Spicy Black Bean Veggie Burgers
1 Avocado
About 1 to 1 1/2 cups of baby spinach leaves
1 medium tomato, sliced
2 Thomas' Whole Wheat Mini Pitas
2 tbsp. Picante or Salsa
1. Grill or heat the Morningstar FarmsŪ Spicy Black Bean
Veggie Burgers in a skillet
2. Peel and slice avocado into thin (1/4" slices)
3. Slice pitas all the way through so they resemble a
flat bun
4. Place cooked burger on pita, top with half the spinach,
a slice of tomato and a couple of avocado slices
5. Garnish with Picante or Salsa
Serve with Garden Salsa Sun Chips!
Our take: Use pitas vs buns for burgers. First of all they
taste great, they're a healthy alternative and you can still
taste the burger!
And of course,there simply isn't quite so much "stuff" to
get through - if you know what we mean.
