This is a great sandwich recipe contributed by Anne Flasser from PA.
We're not exactly sure where the name comes from but it is a
terrific take on barbeque or a hot sausage sandwich.

Ingredients
1 lb. of vegetarian Italian sausage
1 large onion
2 green Bell peppers
1 - 2 large potatoes
1 can Italian style diced tomatoes with juice
In a small skillet, fry the sausage until it is heated through
and lightly browned. Break it into small pieces.
Meanwhile, cut the onion, pepper and peeled potatoes into small
cubes. Place these in a small pot or saucepan along with the tomatoes
and simmer until the potatoes are done.
Mix in the sausage and allow to simmer for a couple of minutes more
just to insure all ingredients are warmed through.
Serve on fresh hard rolls.
This recipe makes about 6 sandwiches and
is delicious served with whole grain Sun-chips and apple slices.
