Caring, Compassion...
perhaps a ray of hope...

Our first thought was to post this on our "Compassionate Links" page. After some more consideration we felt it deserving of a place of it's own.

If you're reading this, you were probably directed here by the marquee banner that is currently running across our home page. That asks you to visit our Please Help page...this page. So, you may have already thought that we were going to ask you for something. And you're right. We are.

What we are asking is that you take a few moments to visit a website which we are linking to at the bottom of the page. That's all. Perhaps that's enough. You see, the website has been put together by two special young women who have a compassionate mission...to help a dear friend provide for and care for her and her husband's two terminally ill children.

I know there are plenty of websites out there trying to grab a dollar or two from whoever comes their way. And this is certainly an unconventional website to have a page such as this perhaps, being a vegetarian recipe site. We do it not simply because we have a forum and can do it, but we do it because we have been moved and compelled.

We happen to know the young mother whose story you will read if you follow the links in the website. We've never met her husband or her children or the two women who started the site. But their story is one of incredible heartbreak and unexplainable joy at the same time. It is a story that hopefully most of us will never have to deal with in the same sense that Shannon and Matt have to.

If you decide that you want to visit their site, that would be great. The link is at the bottom of the page. If you can help in some way that would be even better. Perhaps you might even share the link with someone else you know who might possibly help. And please, drop back by NJR again. Thank you!
